Biography
Monte Tull has over 30 years of engineering experience, primarily in the areas of computing and telecommunications. He is retired from Lucent Technologies, having served 15 years as a technical manager. He is currently an associate professor at the University of Oklahoma. In addition to his extensive hardware design, systems integration, and deployment experience, he has applied artificial intelligence solutions to a wide variety of difficult problems, including infrared imaging, x-ray laminography, signal prediction, automated circuit design, circuit diagnosis, process modeling, facility utilization and resource allocation. Additional experience includes ISO-9000 compliance and Bellcore technical requirements.
Professor Tull received the B.S. physics degree from East Central State University in 1967, an M.S. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1972, a M.S. in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1978, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1980. As an associate professor at the University of Oklahoma, he directs the Digital Design Laboratory. He is a member of the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology, Applied Research Advisory Committee, and is active in promoting industry-university collaborative research. He is a member of IEEE and ASEE.
