Professor Yu received a B.S. degree in atmospheric
physics and a M.S. degree in space science, both
from the
National Central University in Taiwan. He received
a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2000. He then worked
for the National Center for Atmospheric Research
(NCAR) as a postdoctoral fellow for two years. Professor
Yu is
currently an assistant professor in the School of
Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University
of Oklahoma. Professor Yu has a wide range of interests
in digital signal processing and atmospheric applications
through radar observations.
Before Professor Yu joined OU, he had worked on
various types of profiler radars to study atmospheric
dynamics
from boundary layer to the mesosphere. His current
interest is to develop novel and sophisticated radar
technologies to improve radar measurement and to
advance the fundamental knowledge of meteorological
phenomena.
